She Followed The Recipe Yet Her Dinner Party Was Ruined

What was to be a fabulous evening hosting her very first dinner party, in her brand new house, with her brand new cookware turned into a mix of Chinese takeout, delivery pizza and lots of wine.

"I swear, I followed the recipe. I've made this dish - Kibbeh - a very simple lamb (or beef) recipe that is a complete showstopper, since I was a teenager in my mom's kitchen."

After the initial shock of tossing the inedible food into the trash, she did the only thing she could. She dug out three more bottles of wine, uncorked them all and ordered out. By the time delivery boys showed, she was slightly tipsy and determined not to let her ruined meal get her down. She had fifteen guests, and a fabulous husband who'd seen her pale face and immediately set about entertaining the troops.

He shouldered the blame, staying he'd installed the new stove incorrectly - even though he hadn't touched it with a ten-foot pole. Such a great guy blaming himself and the stove and yet she knew it was neither but determined to enjoy herself, she served salads and cheap takeout.

The guests had a ball. The wine was a hit. The house was a hit. The tour of the kitchen and a look at the "bad" stove had been a highlight before dessert.

Yet the next day, as she finished putting away pots and pans, she suddenly knew. She hadn't ruined her Kibbeh after all! She scrambled into the new pantry and found her trusted cookware. Like a mad scientist on a mission, she made a new (smaller) batch of Kibbeh and the savory smell of lamb and spices filled the kitchen.

She pulled the sizzling pan from the oven, waited for a full five minutes - bouncing from one foot to the other, leaning down for a sniff every minute - and finally cut herself a piece.

"Ahh!" Internally, she shouted "Yes! Yes! Yes!" as she danced around her beautiful kitchen, plate of perfectly made Kibbeh in hand.

She enjoyed the rest of her Sunday afternoon by treating herself to first packing up her new, overpriced, not-good-enough cookware into the same box from which she unpacked the cookware that never let her down. The next day she planned to donate the box of cookware to a family in need. But with her second helping of the day she watched "Julia and Julia" and once again relived her dreams of being a world-famous chef!

After the film ended, she got online and ordered another set of her reliable cookware, determined to never again be fooled by expensive price tags.

This happy chef so impressed her guests during her second dinner party - cooking with her best cookware - that seven out of eight women ordered the same set from her the very next day. T

And a week later, after attending another dinner cooked by one of those seven with her brand new cookware, the last lady standing ordered her own set. That night!

"I can not tell a lie. I am hooked. I am so excited by this cookware and the amazing meals I am able to whip together that I have to share."
